Every couple of weeks after we finish a book, our AP Lit teacher will give us an essay it’s usually one of the number 3 AP FRQ essays from prior years (answer a question or respond to a prompt, elaborate, and explain how it illuminates the meaning of the work as a whole).

I haven’t been able to breach the 85 mark (6 out of 9 by AP standards), and it really frustrates me as I would have a high A without the essays.

Of course, you should also keep in mind that a conclusion is not absolutely necessary in order to receive a high score.

Never forget that your body paragraphs are more important than the conclusion, so don't slight them merely to add a conclusion.

Can someone please give me advice or strategies on how to do better on these essays?
