The writing project is a resource for teachers and school districts.

During the school year, writing project teachers can also provide professional development workshops for other teachers in their schools and communities.

The classes are grouped by grade level, limited to 18 students, and are led by credentialed teacher consultants with the San Jose Area Writing Project.

The hours are am – pm and we are unable to provide daycare in the afternoon. Arts and crafts are offered at lunch time in addition to playground activities.

Courses in which a grade of 70% or higher is received will be accepted for graduate credit.

A student whose grade in a graduate course is less than 70% may be allowed to repeat the course or to substitute another for it, at the discretion of the Dean of Graduate Studies and the program coordinator.

Whether you're writing fiction or autobiography, if you write every day for 30 days, by the end of each month you’ll have completed a large part of a book-length project.

The Creative Writing Project (ENGL-8940), which will normally emerge out of the graduate seminar in Creative Writing, is a book-length manuscript (approximately 70-120 pages).

The guidebook contains short extracts of poetry and prose written by students of Hawthorn Primary School and adults who took part in a writers’ retreat workshop.

The project received a Northamptonshire Heritage Forum Award 2016 for the Best Community project.
