Once I feel my students have a firm understanding of the sources they will be looking at, we then dive into the research topic, and the students select their issues related to the main topic.
Create Questions One of the critical parts of teaching the research paper to students is having them come up with their self-generated research question.
If you feel that the learners are not ready for public feedback, ask them to provide feedback to each other in pairs or in writing. This could be done by breaking students into small chat rooms, or pairing students up to message with each other, then having their group post their points to a larger discussion board. Assign students to work in small groups of 3-4 and provide each other with feedback.
Be sure to assign a deadline for giving feedback, and allow sufficient time for revisions.
