Christos Argyropoulos is an Assistant Professor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, USA. degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK (2007) and a Ph. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Antennas and Electromagnetics Group of the Queen Mary, University of London, UK (2011).

In September 2007, he joined Paris-Sud University as a Professor and Head of International Affairs at Polytech Paris-Sud.

His research interests include electromagnetic wave interaction with structures and antennas, complex materials such as metamaterials, chiral, bianisotropic and PBG materials, and optimization methods for various designs.

He organized special sessions about nonlinear metamaterials at META 15 and META 16.

He has given several invited talks and seminars to different conferences and universities. From September 1995 to August 2007, he was an Associate Professor at Pierre et Marie Curie University. degree in Electrical Enfgineering from Pierre et Marie Curie University, France, in 1994 and the Habilitation degree in Electrical Engineering from Paris-Sud University in 2003.Currently, research activities include design of metamaterials, channel sounding, and mutual coupling analysis in the framework of ultra-wideband and software radio. In 2015, he spent a sabbatical year at Penn State University, USA, within the Electromagnetic Communication Lab, directed by Prof. Since 2011, he is working at KTO Karatay University, Turkey as an assistant professor in the electrical and electronics department.He has published over 120 journal papers, patents, book chapters, and conference articles. Abbasi is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in University of Glasgow in the School of Engineering in addition to Visiting Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL). His main research interests include computational electromagnetics, antennas modelling and analysis, RFID antennas, graphene antennas, statistical electromagnetics, development of antennas for microwave cancer ablation, inverse problems, neural networks. Acikgoz’s is a member of IEEE and steering committee member of URSI Turkey.He had been the recipient of the National Talent Search Scholarship, the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship and is Senior Member, IEEE.He has also been the recipient of many national awards, travel grants and best student paper awards.He has published over 135 technical papers in highly ranked journals and refereed conference proceedings, including 5 book chapters.He has received several research and travel awards, such as Junior Researcher Award of the 2013 Raj Mittra Travel Grant, EPSRC Research Scholarship, Royal Academy of Engineering international travel grant and twice the Marie Curie Actions Grant to attend the European School of Antennas.He is a TPC member and an invited / keynote speaker and chaired sessions in many national and international conferences and seminars.He is also in the review and editorial boards of many international journals.
