Villanova is a great university for students who want strong pre-professional options rooted in the liberal arts.
It is also a good environment for students who want access to a big city in a pretty environment.
Villanova is a DI school with basketball bringing a lot of school spirit to the school.
There is also a Greek system, however there are not houses on campus, providing an integrated social life.
There are also plans to build a performing arts center as that is currently lacking.
Students do participate in the arts through clubs, but there is no formal space to perform. One will take students into Philadelphia in 22 minutes and the other will take them to stops along the Main Line for shopping, restaurants, and such.
About 30% of students go abroad, but it did not seem to be a major focus on campus.
The campus itself is quite long and narrow and there are plans to complete a major renovation of the campus over the next 5-10 years, starting with beautifying the walkway between the student center and the other end of campus.
